What's Breathe All About?

I didn't take my first proper breath until I did my yoga teacher training. I'd been doing yoga for years and had never had that sense of connection. Learning how to breathe and reacquainting myself with my breath has single-handedly changed my life. Here I will share the fundamentals of breathing and weave in practices that illuminate your breath for you, connecting you to your inhales and exhales. Knowing how to breathe is a super skill and one you can harness in times when you feel exhausted, anxious, dull, hyper...there is truly a way to breathe to remedy every moment. Our breath is one of the fastest ways to effect our nervous system and change our state. We are going to touch on the elements of energy within the body and how they move, in relation to the breath. This is for you if you don't feel any connection to your breath, you want to be able to calm down your nervous system and fire up your focus, and you are ready to take your first full yogic breath (and have your life changed like me).
